I was born in the real Newcastle and grew up in Manchester, attending a local grammar school and pursuing my passion for academics and sport to Durham University.

I have a deep understanding of high performance, both academically and athletically, pursuing an AASE qualification (equivalent of Sports Science A-Level or BTEC) at Hartpury College alongside my A-Levels, earning the Vice Chancellor’s Sports Scholarship at Durham University, and nationally representing Team England in Men’s Lacrosse.

Following my university studies and my year abroad experiences, I stayed in the North-East to complete teacher-training. My ''first proper teaching job'' was at Sherborne School, followed most recently by the world-renowned Institut auf dem Rosenberg in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Teaching is my vocation and I enjoy every opportunity to help people learn and progress.

The work of a teacher extends beyond lessons, shaping students’ confidence and competence both inside and outside the classroom. While exam preparation is essential, education also involves helping students discover their unique place in the world where they find fulfilment and purpose. As a passionate and professional tutor, I balance confidence-building, motivation, academic rigor, and high expectations to create a challenging yet rewarding learning journey.

My pupil-centred teaching philosophy focuses on tailoring materials, lessons, and delivery to each individual, with a particular interest in making learning accessible and long-lasting. I specialize in study skills, memory, and applied cognitive science, ensuring that students can retain and apply knowledge—whether mastering historical facts or communicating in a foreign language—with ease and enjoyment.
